The goods were disposed of on Tuesday in an incinerator at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret under tight security. Speaking to journalists later, Florence Otory, KRA deputy commissioner and North Rift region coordinator, said the seized goods included imported fake seeds, tobacco and pornographic materials. “We don’t accept imported seeds without the approval of the Kephis, to protect our eco-system. Imports of fake seeds led to the hyacinth menace and we will not allow that to happen,” Mrs Otory said.
