FILE PHOTONational carrier Kenya Airways on Sunday morning cancelled five flights from Nairobi due to what they termed as shortage of crew. In a statement issued Sunday morning, KQ said that some out sourced staff, including cabin crew had stayed away from work since Friday due to issues with their employer. KQ flights 600 to Mombasa, 432 to Kilimanjaro, 350 to Juba, 706 to Lusaka/Harare and 740 to Maputo were cancelled after the crew failed to report to work. The statement added that travelers in the affected flights would be re-booked on other flights or airlines. Just two weeks ago, several passengers on local routes were inconvenienced after several flights were either cancelled or delayed.
