KP govt challenges suspension of advisers, special assistants

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday challenged a recent Peshawar High Court decision that had suspended the appointment of provincial special assistants and advisers. Responding to the court decision, KP Information Minister Shaukat Yousufzai said that the constitution had room for the appointment of five advisers, while the province has appointed three advisers. A PHC divisional bench on Thursday suspended the orders of provincial government regarding appointment of three advisors and two special assistants to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister. A case about the suspension of advisors and special assistants has been filed by member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Khushdil Khan of Awami National Party. A notification issued this year notified appointments of Ajmal Wazir, Ziaullah Khan Bangash, and Hamayatullah Khan as provincial advisers and Abdul Karim Khan and Kamran Bangash as special assistants in the provincial government.
