According to the documents, the Planning and Development Department has re-appropriated more than 1.7 billion funds for 74 development projects of 20 departments. These uplift projects would be mostly carried out in the districts of powerful parliamentarians, shows documents. Sources in the Planning and Development Department told Pakistan Today that funds were re-appropriated from already ignored districts such as Tank, Shangla, Buner among other, to districts of the powerful parliamentarians. Adding that Instead of shifting and re-appropriating funds for the uplift of the ignored districts-particularly conflict challenged newly merged districts, funds were transferred to the already developed districts. While in southern districts, Dera Ismail Khan gets 79 million, Bannu 65 million Kohat 25 million, while Charsadda 47 million and Nowshera 18 million, documents showed.
