The premier university in the Ashanti Region was closed down indefinitely on Monday after students went on rampage to protest claimed brutality by the campus security personnel. Speaking on 3FM’s breakfast programme, Sunrise, an Ex Officio Member of the KNUST Alumni Association, Dr Tony Danklu, condemned the action by the students. An alumnus was arrested as part of 11 persons who scuffled with campus security on Friday. He said the Association will head to the university after its meeting, to be held in an unknown location in Tema, to help resolve the impasse.
