The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics(KNBS) has released a report indicating the highest paying jobs both in the public and private sectors in the country. Workers in various ministries earned Ksh61,993 per month while teachers took home an average salary of Ksh61,843 per month. Officers in public administration such as police and army officers earned an average monthly salary of Ksh56,041. The lowest earners in the private sector were workers in the Water supply/ sewerage, and waste management earning Ksh24,574 per month. In the public sector, Kenyans in agriculture, forestry, and fishing were the lowest earners taking home an average monthly salary of Ksh42,924.
