PHOTO: FileA high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister for Local Government Sindh, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, to finalize the Karachi Special Road Rehabilitation Program under the Minister Local Government's Initiative. During the meeting, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab briefed participants on the finalization of 183 important roads falling under various Town Municipal Corporations (TMCs) of Karachi. The Shah, directed Municipal Commissioner to expedite all necessary procedures and immediately launch the tendering process to ensure swift execution of the initiative. Mayor Wahab further informed the meeting that, following the successful rehabilitation of roads, solarisation of streetlights will also be undertaken.
