The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 registered PH-BXM had been taxiing for a departure off RWY21 at Gothenburg International Airport when the taxiway excursion incident occurred. Following the incident KLM confirmed that the safety of the passengers and crew was not affected and they were able to disembark from the aircraft unharmed down aircraft stairs. The aircraft involved in the incident has since been towed to the terminal in Gothenburg. KLM stated that it regretted the incident and has launched an investigation, as is customary under such circumstances.
