KUALA LUMPUR (March 2): The FBM KLCI surged 0.71% at mid-morning today and firmly entrenched itself above the 1,700-point level. At 10.04am, the FBM KLCI rose 12.25 points to 1,709.94. The top gainers included Petronas Dagangan Bhd, British American Tobacco (M) Bhd, Far East Holdings Bhd, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd, Time dotCom Bhd, JHM Consolidation Bhd, Hong Leong Financial Group Bhd and Malayan Banking Bhd. The actives included Dagang NeXchange Bhd, Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd, Censof Holdings Bhd, Borneo Oil Bhd and KNM Group Bhd. The losers included Success Transformer Corp Bhd, Heineken Malaysia Bhd, Hartalega Holdings Bhd, Genting Plantations Bhd, Pos Malaysia Bhd, Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd and Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Bhd.
