KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 31): The FBM KLCI fell 0.48% at mid-morning today, weighed by key blue chips in line with the defensive regional markets. The top losers included British American Tobacco (M) Bhd, MISC Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Petronas Gas Bhd, Sime Darby Bhd, United Malacca Bhd, Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd, Genting Bhd, KESM Industries Bhd, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd and RHB Bank Bhd. The actively traded stocks included SC Estate Builder Bhd, Bioalpha Holdings Bhd, AirAsia X Bhd, Dolphin International Bhd, Hisbicus Petroleum Bhd and SKH Consortium Bhd. The gainers included United Plantations Bhd, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd, MNRB Holdings Bhd, Favelle Favco Bhd, JHM Consolidation Bhd, Vitrox Corporation Bhd, Hong Leong Industries Bhd and Maxis Bhd. "Although blue chips are likely to witness a pullback following recent rallies, traders may focus on 2nd liners and small caps as blue chips are likely to consolidate after their recent gains," it said.
