KKB polls: Independent candidate launches manifesto with 20 initiatives

HULU SELANGOR: Independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin has launched a manifesto outlining 20 initiatives as part of her campaign for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election, aimed at improving the quality of life for the constituency's residents and fostering development in the region. The manifesto further emphasises the need to boost local entrepreneurship by easing the process for business licensing, stall applications and expediting state government grant approvals. "I will support local contractors to gain district-level refurbishment projects," she said at the press conference on Saturday (May 4). Nyau’s educational initiatives include specialised scholarship programmes for high-performing students in national examinations and financial aid for university registration fees. Nyau Ke Xin is running against Pakatan Harapan’s Pang Sock Tao, Perikatan Nasional’s candidate Khairul Azhari Saut, and Parti Rakyat Malaysia’s Hafizah Zainuddin.
