KDF soldiers killed four al Shabaab militants and recovered weapons in a fierce gunfight in Milimani area near Baure, Lamu county on Wednesday. "The troops had been in hot pursuit of the terrorists after they conducted a probing attack on a KDF camp in Mangai," he said. The militants who numbered more than 30 had tried to access the camp but KDF soldiers confronted and fought them for at least 30 minutes. Obonyo said the KDF and other security units were deployed to comb the area for the terrorists. KDF spokesperson Colonel David Obonyo said in a statement that one soldier was wounded in the exchange of fire.
