Regional ‘kingpins’ mobilise communities to participate in the national political process, the end result of which, is to share the national cake. This Is what the Coast region has been missing over the years. Mung’aro could, therefore, galvanize their support in search for a regional leadership. These factors put Nassir in a competitive position to fill the Coast political leadership vacuum.
