For his part, the Chief Executive Officer of K3 Telecom Liberia Incorporated, Mr. Ernest Boakai speaking at the occasion bragged about his entity’s services in Liberia, which he said is a promising internet at nearly ten times the speed for a fraction of the prevailing monthly cost. He also noted that his company is not in Liberia to compete with the local GSM providers, adding, “As K3 is not into mobile telecommunications. The services that K3 offers can only be accessed within a certain area, such as a home or a place of business. K3 offers desk phones only and can either provide handsets or allow subscribers to procure their own phones,” Mr. Boakai speaking to the invitees at the launching said. The Company CEO also said some of the potential subscribers within K3’s immediate target market are institutions that need an affordable package.
