K-P Assembly resolution calls upon Muslim countries to 'financially boycott' US

Legislators adopt resolution in the wake of President Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital last weekPESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly on Monday unanimously adopted a resolution calling upon all Muslim countries to ‘financially boycott’ the United States. The move comes in the wake of President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital last week. “This [K-P Assembly] proposes to the federal government to utilise all diplomatic resources to prevent the US and Israel from taking such decisions with all Muslim countries unequivocally rejecting this move in Muslim countries’ summit and to boycott the US financially,” read the resolution, a copy of which is available with The Express Tribune. The US wants to divide and rule by making Muslims fight each other, it added. These decisions can only be rejected once Muslims are united,” the resolution further read.
