Justin Bieber refused to make a statement in an Argentine court hearing today regarding a 2013 charge of assault and aggravated robbery filed against him by local photographer Diego Pesoa. Pesoa claims to have sustained serious injuries and had his property damaged during an alleged altercation that involved Justin Bieber and the musician’s bodyguards outside of the Buenos Aires night club INK in November of 2013. Pesoa’s camera broke during the alleged incident but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing his career as a photographer and cameraman—and has appeared to enjoy his 15 minutes of fame. Bieber appeared in Argentine court via video conference with the support of the Los Angeles Department of Justice today and according to Pesoa’s lawyer, Matías Morla, the singer was “very polite and respectful” but “refused to answer any of the questions we presented to him.”It’s unclear how the judge will proceed, but he has 10 days to decide whether to move forward with the case or issue a formal dismissal. Local Beliebers are thought to be waiting with bated breath.
