THE first thing that Indonesian Dwi Anggreny, 30, did after she landed in Penang from Medan was to gorge on Musang King with her colleagues. “This is our first stop in Penang for a fun company trip. Sales executive Brittany Zeng, 25, from China, said the imported King of Fruits back home were cheaper but the taste was nothing compared to the durian here. “My family always makes it a point to come here to eat the durian,” she said. The bumper harvest in Penang has brought down durian prices by as much as half.
