The shirts are embroidered with graphic faces designed by French illustrator Alexis Beauclair, which also appear as patterns on intarsia sweaters. An abstract camouflage-style designed by American painter, Candida Alvarez is also used all over, or spliced with sleeves in a tablecloth-style floral pattern. Other shirts boast a mishmash bang-crash combination of Bengal stripe and plain tones with disjunctive details and look great with topstitched jackets. Most compelling of all are the appliques inspired by Henri Matisse’s cutouts. Fans will also love the grey high-cut duffels, ponchos, check baseball shirts, and the signature tees with the “CDG shirt boys” logo.
