Jussie Smollett Speaks Out For The First Time Since Racist And Homophobic Attack

Jussie Smollett broke his silence on Friday morning after he was reportedly the victim of a racist and homophobic assault. “Let me start by saying that I’m OK,” Smollett told Essence in a Friday statement. Smollett told police that the two men beat him up, “poured an unknown chemical substance,” believed to be bleach, on him, and wrapped a rope around his neck.
