The win kept Liverpool five points clear at the top of the league ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City with Jurgen Klopp’s side heading to the Emirates on Sunday. Nunez however is struggling with a foot injury having left Anfield wearing a protective boot on Tuesday night. Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp said: ‘You probably didn’t know, I don’t know if Darwin will be available or not. The forward suffered a hamstring injury in Egypt’s Africa Cup of Nations group clash against Ghana on 18 March, returning to Merseyside for treatment.
