The Liverpool manager is said to have held a ‘virtual meeting’ with the Red Bull Leipzig centre-forward, according to German football expert Raphael Honigstein. Honigstein claims there’s a ‘very strong chance’ Werner will move to Liverpool, although the deal is under threat due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. And Klopp has remained in contact with the striker, who has scored 24 goals in 27 Bundesliga matches this season. ‘So far Liverpool have been linked closely and there has been a meeting between him and Jurgen Klopp, at least a virtual one over the last few weeks.
