Credit: LudiaJurassic World Alive apparently launched the other day, though at the time I missed this semi-significant event in the world of AR gaming. Jurassic World Alive is the slickest Pokémon GO clones yet: not a simple copy or cash-in, but a full-fledged licensed location-based game that borrows a whole lot from Pokémon GO without sacrificing its own identity. Pokémon GO always suffered from not enough going on, but so far Jurassic World Alive suffers from too much. Not a "tap the screen until something happens" combat system like GO, but a full-fledged turn-based combat system with different moves, abilities and some actual strategy involved. Jurassic World Alive doesn't have that, and what appears to be a non-specific connection to points of interest through Google doesn't take its place.
