Pic: Larry CumminsJump to it — Mini-Marathon 2018 is open for registrationThe sun has come along just in time to dust off the running shoes and start preparing for one of the biggest participation events in Cork city, the annual Cork Women’s mini marathon. This is the 37th year of the race, which will take place on Sunday, September 16. Hailed as Munster’s premier four-mile road race, it has grown to attract approximately 8,000 participants in recent years, many of whom fundraise for their chosen charity. All proceeds go to the Athletic Association of Ireland (Cork) to assist with the development of athletics in the Cork region. All registered participants will receive a specially designed event medal on completion of the Mini Marathon and the event is chip timed.
