Julie Felix has died at the age of 81 after a short illness, her agent has confirmed. The American-born folk singer passed away in her sleep on Sunday night. Her agent said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we announce that folk legend, Julie Felix, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday evening 22nd March after a short illness. Julie was dubbed Britain's First Lady of Folk and found fame in the 60s. The last post on Julie's personal website said she would have to cancel or postpone gigs due to the coronavirus outbreak.
