Hazem Rasmi, official spokesperson of the Judges Club, said the advisory board decided at the end of its meeting on Monday to postpone indefinitely the General Assembly that was supposed to convene on Friday to consider the response to the government's issuance of the judicial authority law. The board will issue a statement on the crisis laterMeanwhile, the attendees rejected the resignation of Mohamed Mansour, the club chairman. The sources added that the decision comes to avoid confrontations with judges of the Supreme Judiciary Council and divisions that would destabilize the country. Division occurred at the meeting of heads of the governorates judges clubs, the sources said. Some proposed postponing the General Assembly and challenging the new law, while others suggested holding an urgent General Assembly on Friday at the High Court to tackle the issue.
