MANILA, Philippines — In her May 24 order, Judge Eleanor Kwong of the Caloocan Regional Trial Court Branch 128 set the pretrial on June 17 for Cpl. Rocky delos Reyes, who was arraigned last week on charges of murder, attempted murder and gun ban violations. The judge said Delos Reyes’ motion was a prohibited pleading under the continuous trial rule if without the prior leave of court. She ordered Delos Reyes transferred to the Valenzuela City Jail. Besides murder and attempted murder, Delos Reyes was charged with violations of the elections gun ban for carrying a .45 caliber pistol without a permit to carry during the campaign period.
