Jubilee MP tells off Raila for forcing Uhuru to dialogue on IEBC

The coalition had notified authorities saying they would resume the protests after attempts for dialogue with Jubilee over the IEBC stalemate failed. “Raila should wait for Parliament to resume sittings then have his MPs push for the reforms they want and let Parliament decide. Jamleck Kamau the MP for Kigumo said Raila and other Opposition leaders are using wrong channels in their push for reforms in the electoral system, the Star reports. Kamau is of the opinion that the kind of reforms Raila is calling for can only be addressed by Parliament, and that rallies and demonstrations are a waste of time. This past week has seen Raila and other Cord leaders asking President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee government to form a five-member team that will engage the Opposition on talks that will revolve around the issue of IEBC.
