Earlier in the Test, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first as England scored 337 in the first innings. In reply, Bangladesh were bundled out for 228 as England took a big 109-run first innings lead thanks to Kasey Aldridge’s 4/44. Bangladesh started to fight back in the third innings with the bowling of Minhazur, who took 4/74 as England score 223/8 before declaring. Left arm off-spinner Minhazur Rahman was voted man-of-the-series as he took 16 wickets in the series for the young Tigers and played a crucial part in their 2-0 series sweep.
