“Tamal led some 40 men to vandalise Budu’s car. Budu, a leader of pro-Awami League lawyers, also blamed Tamal over attacks led on his cars and the journalists. Tamal, President of Ishwardi unit of Juba League, could not be reached for comments. In May, freedom fighter Atiar Biswas started a case against Tamal accusing him of attacking his son’s home in the Upazila. Atiar’s son Zubayer Biswas is President of the Ishwardi unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student wing of the ruling party.
