Pakpoom said Thai authorities determined that Wong would be a threat to security, so he was deported to his origin country. However, Wong on Thursday joined a talk titled "Politics of the Young Generation" via Skype at Chulalongkorn University. Deputy police commissioner General Srivara Ransibrahmanakulhas said there was no threat to security in Wong's Skype talk as he only talked about the democracy movement in Hong Kong. "We did not take legal action against him or the institute that hosted the event," Srivara said.
