SENTENCING of Joshua Allen, a son of television chef Rachel Allen, on a cocaine possession charge has been adjourned for two months. Judge Joanne Carroll adjourned the matter at Midleton District Court after ruling Judge Gabbert must deal with the sentencing involved. The court was previously told Joshua Allen had six previous convictions, all for drug offences arising from a single incident two years ago. He was arrested two years ago after customs officers at Portlaoise Mail Centre became suspicious about a package addressed to Joshua Allen mailed from the United States. In evidence to the court, Mr Allen denied throwing anything into the bushes that night.
