Joseph McCann, 34, carried out the attacks in Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire, London and Hertfordshire between 21 April and 5 May, it is alleged. Earlier this month, a court hearing was held in his cell when he refused to budge from Belmarsh prison. McCann is also alleged to have abducted a woman in her 20s in Watford before raping her in her home. McCann was expected to appear in court from Belmarsh Prison via video link today but he refused to leave his cell in the prison's healthcare wing. He is now set to appear at the Old Bailey on 26 July to enter pleas to all counts.
