The United boss is expected to be handed a £100million transfer kitty to bolster his side, which has struggled in the opening quarter of the season and currently sit eighth in the table. Mourinho will once again target the position but will also look to add a striker - with Romelu Lukaku on a barren spell for the club. When asked for the reason behind why Lukaku has been dropped, Mourinho told Sky Sports: "He is playing lots of matches. They signed none of them, as midfielder Fred, reserve keeper Lee Grant and full-back Diogo Dalot were added to the squad.
