Jose Mourinho believes previous decisions regarding young players has been warranted though the Tottenham boss remains keen to utilise his current academy. Mourinho has regularly chosen experienced players over younger pros at previous clubs though has given a number of rookie stars their big chance. That includes Manchester United star Scott McTominay with Mourinho giving the Scottish midfielder his Premier League debut off the bench against Arsenal in 2017. "Yes it's very important, Scott McTominay is only the best player at Manchester United," Mourinho said. "Raphael Varane is one of the best players in the world, yes, it's fair criticism."
