Jordan Formula One team founder Eddie Jordan has stepped down from the board of UK yacht manufacturer Oyster Yachts to become a brand ambassador for the firm after a three-year non-executive director stint. The keen sailor previously shared one of its 885 models with Oyster’s owner, British entrepreneur Richard Hadida. The co-founder of Nasdaq-listed Evolution Gaming bought the yacht maker out of administration in 2018, and has since sailed it into smoother waters, and profitability. The Scottish firm has opened an Irish division to meet “buoyant” demand from the distilling industry. A number of Kildare politicians were reportedly unhappy to see the HQ move from Naas to a Dublin location.
