HANOI: The Vietnamese government is verifying information about a woman carrying a Vietnamese passport arrested by Malaysian police over the murder of 45-year-old Kim Jong-nam in Malaysia. VNA reported that relevant agencies in Vietnam were also closely working on the case, adding that the Vietnamese embassy in Malaysia was keeping a close watch on the case. This was followed by the arrest two days later of a woman holding a Vietnamese passport bearing the name Doan Thi Huong. The woman was arrested at KLIA2 as she was preparing to board a flight to Vietnam. Police said she was identified based on CCTV footage at the airport and was alone at the time of the arrest.
