England coach Eddie Jones has been remembered as "the No 1 sledger in the world" who unleashed a verbal barrage on the All Blacks in 1988. Jones was then a hooker playing for the Randwick club who had the honour of hosting the freshly crowned world champion All Blacks in Sydney on New Zealand's tour of Australia. "Eddie was the No 1 sledger in the world," his Randwick team mate and celebrated flanker Simon Poidevin told the Daily Mail. Poidevin's description of Jones is backed up by legendary All Blacks wing Sir John Kirwan who played in the Randwick match.
