Stacey Jones excited by Kiwis challenge as legend takes next step in coaching path MARVIN FRANCEHe is one of the greatest players to wear the black and white jersey and Stacey Jones is relishing his return to the Kiwis fold after joining coach Michael Maguire's rebuilding effort. It comes a year later than the NZRL had initially hoped after Jones was approached to help former coach David Kidwell at last year's World Cup. "It's pretty exciting for me to be given this opportunity from Michael," Jones told Stuff. He joins fellow assistants, 2008 World Cup-winning Kiwis captain Nathan Cayless and Australian Ben Gardiner on the coaching staff. The Kiwis were heavy underdogs that day as they will be at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday and Jones believes the road to success starts by instilling the right culture.
