“The late Aboderin will be sorely missed because of his deep commitment to national progress and the ease with which he reached out and made friends across regional lines and religious ties. Lagos State governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, expressed sadness over the demise of the chairman of The Punch Newspapers, Mr Wale Aboderin. Reacting, Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, described the late Aboderin as an illustrious son of the state, and a lovable brother and consummate gentleman. In his message of condolence to the Aboderin family, former Ogun State governor, Otunba Daniel, lamented the heartbreaking incident which he described as incomprehensible and very painful at such a youthful age. It is, however, consoling that the late Mr Wale Aboderin lived a fulfilled life.
