When the Raptors host the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday evening, Stan Kuliavas won’t be cheering for Toronto. Whatever jersey former Raptors big man Jonas Valanciunas is wearing, Kuliavas will root for. Though most are aware of Valanciunas’s connection to the community, Kuliavas saw it extend far beyond the court. “Toronto is, by far, the largest Lithuanian community in Canada and he jumped two feet in,” Kuliavas said. “He would come and participate in a lot of community events just ’cause, whether they were community sporting events or otherwise.
