Law-enforcing agencies arrested another 280 people with suspected links to criminal activities in a bid to keep a leash on crimes amid the degrading state of law and order. In a statement on Friday, the ISPR said the army had been working toward ensuring smooth Eid travels and prevention of ticket bootlegging with heightened vigilance. From Mar 20-26, units of different infantry divisions and independent brigades of the Bangladesh Army, alongside other law-enforcing agencies, carried out joint operations in the capital and other locations of the country, the ISPR said, according to a bdnews24.com report. Law enforcers recovered 10 illegal firearms, 143 different ammunition, grenades, drugs, weapons, stolen phones, tablets, passports, SIM cards, jewellery, trawler, motorcycle, truck, dredger and cash, among other things, from them.
