JOHO'S INFLUENCEDuring the 2013 election, Rashid Bedzimba won with 26,793 votes on an ODM ticket against his closest challenger, Said Mohamed of The National Alliance (TNA) who had 5,296 votes. Political analysts say Governor Joho is likely to have a huge influence over who wins the Kisauni seat, with the ODM ticket a coveted one since the holder enjoys the backing of the governor. University of Nairobi political science lecturer Geoffreyson Khamala says Kisauni Constituency is also likely to play a crucial role in deciding the race for governor of Mombasa County.
