PASIR GUDANG: Johor government will launch its first phase of a rent-to-own housing scheme involving 190 units soon. "This new rent-to-own home scheme will be launched during the Progressive Johor Expo that will be held from Oct 6-14 . "For now, it involves 190 units purchased from a Johor Corporation project," said Khaled after handing over the keys to 700 house owners of the Johor Affordable Housing Scheme at Taman Scientex here today. He said the financing for the rent-to-own schemes would likely be similar to what is being done in the federal level rent-to-own housing schemes such as People's Housing Project (PPR) . "The criteria we have set for applicants is that they had not received the Johor Affordable Housing (RMMJ) before this, and that they do not own any homes.
