"We've got to be very prudent and what we want to see is progress that is cautious, but irreversible," Johnson told reporters. Johnson, due to set the path out of lockdown on February 22, said rates of infection were still high and too many people were still dying. "That's going to be very much in the mix, down the road I think that is going to happen," Johnson said. Johnson said Britain would ensure mass vaccination and rapid testing for nightclubs and theatres rather than demanding certification for normal life.
