Chelsea legend Terry, 37, has flown out to join Spartak Moscow but UEFA insist their deadline for new players for the Group stage was September 3. Glasgow Rangers boss Gerrard has been drawn against the Russian side in the Europa League Group stage. It is a major coup for Spartak who are signing Terry for £1.8million-a-year as a free agent. Aston Villa have been keen to re-sign Terry but now seem ready to turn their attentions to former West Ham defender James Collins, who is a free agent.
