Just as you almost certainly didn’t know MPs unanimously designated April “Genocide Remembrance, Condemnation and Prevention Month” four years ago then, instead of becoming serious and statespersonlike, went right back to slagging each other over trivia. (In fact most places are increasingly part of the “galactic metropolis” where everything is the same so maybe we need a World Homogenization Day.) On the People and Things, especially from on high, they didn’t even know it was Visosky that day. And he didn’t know Jews “sing the four questions” during Passover. So let’s have a “Day for the Recognition of People and Things” to get the pandering over with, and spend the rest of the year rejecting small and big lies alike.
