On Sunday’s Last Week Tonight, host John Oliver took aim at those who don’t believe in vaccines, a.k.a. “Vaccines are one of humanity’s most incredible accomplishments. And there was a time when a new one was a cause for huge celebration,” Oliver said. Despite him being exposed and the study being retracted, the damage was done, creating countless critics of vaccines. As Oliver explained, the FDA essentially spent money and resources to solve a problem that never even existed in an effort to assuage general anxieties.
