Renters would also have the option to have their homes fully furnished by John Lewis. In addition, it has been reported that John Lewis staff, of which there are 80,000, could get reduced rent, according to The Sunday Times. It has been a difficult few years for the iconic retailer, with John Lewis reporting a £517million pre-tax loss for the year to January 30 2021. John Lewis isn't the only retailer to show an interest in the property market.
