Former FAI CEO John Delaney has said that his new position in the governing body was created due to the impossible workload. Mr Delaney stepped down as CEO of the FAI last month to take up a new role as Executive Vice President. When asked to discuss the challenges in his new role, Mr Delaney said he was looking forward to it. It is envisaged that the current CEO [Mr Delaney] would step into this new role. They praised the “contribution of Mr Delaney to the grassroots game".
