Star Wars actor John Boyega spoke out against the lack of diversity in the entertainment industry, in a recent interview with GQ. Hollywood still has a major diversity problem, and putting a black actor behind the mask of a Stormtrooper was a wonderful decision. That fantasy world may not be real, but onscreen, it is alive. Game of Thrones is a similar story, though it isn’t quite as lily-white as Lord of the Rings. Hollywood does have a diversity problem, but the fantasy genre lacks diversity of imagination.
